Who we are
Kimpton Apple Press Limited (“we”, “us” or “the Press”) is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. We're based at Kimpton Manor Farm Yard, Kimpton, Andover, Hampshire, SP11 8PG. You can contact us at manager@kimptonapplepress.co.uk.
This privacy notice provides information about how we collect and use your personal data.
What information we collect
● Fruit pressing bookings/drop-offs and payment: your name, email address, phone number, and details of your booking (e.g. quantity of fruit, collection date)
● Churchwarden's liqueur orders: your name, delivery/billing address, email, phone number, and order details
● Payment details: Payments are taken via bank transfer or they are processed by our payment provider PayPal and we don’t store full card numbers ourselves
● Newsletter/updates about pressings: your email address, and you can unsubscribe at any time if you click ‘unsubscribe’, or email us manager@kimptonapplepress.co.uk
● Enquiries: whatever you share with us by email, phone, or our contact form
Why we use your information, and our legal basis
We don't use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who we share it with
We share information only where necessary, with:
● PayPal our payment processor, to take payment for orders
● Delivery/courier companies, to fulfil liqueur orders
● Technology providers [including our Mailchimp (our email marketing platform) and Squarespace (our website/hosting provider)] and
● HMRC or other authorities, where we're legally required to
Some of these providers may be based outside the UK/EEA (e.g. in the USA). Where that happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards in compliance with applicable data protection law.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and order records for as long as needed to fulfil them and meet our tax/accounting obligations (normally 6 years). Contact details held for sending updates about the Press are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiry correspondence is kept for a reasonable period to handle any follow-up, then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have certain rights, you can:
● Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
● Ask us to correct inaccurate information;
● Ask us to delete your information, in certain circumstances;
● Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing;
● Ask for your information to be moved to another provider (data portability) in certain circumstances;
● Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribe from our newsletter), where your data is being held on the basis of consent; and
● Lodge a complaint if you think that any of your rights have been infringed by us, please contact us. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and will investigate and respond without undue delay. If you are still unhappy with the outcome of the investigation, you may escalate your complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
